The New Cobra: Lighter, Smarter, and Still a Beast!
AC Cars has unveiled plans for two fresh versions of the Cobra, both featuring a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. The most powerful option will deliver an impressive 395 horsepower, with an available dual-clutch transmission for a modern driving experience. Fans of classic performance? Don’t worry — a six-speed manual transmission will still be an option!

This new engine is being developed in collaboration with a global leader in hybrid and combustion engine technology, specifically tailored for the GT platform. Rumor has it this could be the beloved VW EA888 engine, already known from models like the Golf GTI and Golf R.

To maintain Cobra’s sharp performance, the new models will shed some weight thanks to carbon fiber components. This not only boosts handling but also aligns with growing demand for fuel efficiency without sacrificing power.

What’s Next?
Pricing details for the four-cylinder Cobra remain under wraps. However, one thing is clear: AC Cars is forging a new path, combining classic aesthetics with modern technology and performance.

So, what do you think? Would you take a four-cylinder Cobra for a spin?
