Registration Questions

Who can buy a car from us?

Whether you are an individual buyer or a dealer, you can purchase a car through AuctionExport. If you live overseas and would like to purchase a car through AuctionExport no dealer licence is required. All purchased vehicles must be exported outside of USA and Canada.

What should I do to register?

Please fill in all the information on the registration page Register. Once you submit your data, you will receive an email with validation link. Click the link in that email to validate your account.
Please note that you will need to upload a copy of your passport or business license after you place a deposit. Be sure to register in the name that you would like the paperwork completed in.

Will my information be kept private?

Yes, your information will be kept safe on our SSL secured server.

What kind of Identification I need and how can I send it?

You do not need to send us your identification information during the registration process; however, if you want to start the bidding and send the money, you will have to send us a copy of your passport or any major identification document. You can email it to [email protected] or fax a copy to +1.416.900.3303 Auction Export collect information for verification of legitimacy. It is required that we have full knowledge of our clients. This information assists Auction Export in the release of your vehicle to you at the port of destination.

How much do I pay for registration?

Registration is free for a limited time only.

What benefits do I get by registering?

You get access to over 250,000 Salvage and Clean Title cars at wholesale prices. AuctionExport will provide you with auction buying, consulting, documentation handling, inland transportation and worldwide transportation.

I live in North America, can I still register?

Yes, you can register from anywhere in the world, as well as purchase vehicles. However all purchased vehicles must be sold for export outside of USA and Canada.

I don’t have Gift Certificate Promo code. Can I still register without promo code?

Yes, you can register without promo code. Gift Certificate promo code is a flyer with code that you can get in one of our office locations or you can get one from your friends, who already purchased a car with AuctionExport. This field is optional, so you can skip it and complete registration without the code.

Payment Questions

What are the methods of payment?

Deposits can be sent by Skrill or WorldPay using any major credit card or by bank wire transfers. You can print out our Bank Wire Instructions from your Auction Export Profile. Full payments for successful purchases must be sent by bank wire transfer.

Do you accept payments for the purchase or deposit (wire payments, Skrill, WorldPay) from third party?

Auction Export policy to not accept third party funds. Auction Export is obligated by law to “know your customer” and accepting funds from other than who purchased the vehicle puts you and our Company at risk. We appreciate your business but cannot compromise our integrity by making exceptions. Please contact Auction Export for clarification at [email protected]

How do I make bank wire transfer and what are your company's bank wire instructions?

• For deposit with bank wire you can print out our Bank Wire Instruction from your AuctionExport website Profile.
• For payment for the purchased car you simply print out invoice for the car that contains our bank wire instructions. Then you go to your bank and give them our bank wire instructions. Please do not forget to send us an email confirming that you did send a wire to us.

Why do I have to pay the deposit first?

Deposit helps us determine if your intentions to purchase a vehicle are honest.

What is a minimum required deposit?

Minimum deposit is $600.

How do I know how much to deposit?

Deposit of 10% from the purchase price is required. For example if you wish to place a bid or submit A “Buy Now” offer for $10,000 you will need to have $1000 deposit on your account.

Will you refund my deposit if I request?

All bank wire transfers will be refunded upon your request. In your "PROFILE" page, the bottom right you will see the link "Refund Payment", please follow the link and instructions so that we could process your refund. Transfer time for the bank wire transfer is 5-7 business days. Please note we will deduct a bank wire fees of no more than $50 per refund if made by bank wire transfer. All credit card transactions will be refunded within 5 business days upon request of the customer. In your "PROFILE" page, the bottom right you will see the link "Refund Payment", please follow the link and instructions so that we could process your refund.

Why do you charge AuctionExport fee?

For each successful purchased car we apply $295 fee for the cars over $3000 and $195 fee for the cars under $3000. We also charge documentation fee of $85. In addition, there is an auction fee that will be applied on each vehicle. Please refer to the auction fees page.

Why do I have to pay $295 / $195 fee and $85 documentation fee?

$295 / $195 fee is the only fee our company charges for brokering your purchase. Our service includes: purchasing a vehicle for you, shipping assistance to the port in your country (shipping charges apply), and handling all documentation involved in exporting process from USA and Canada. $85 documentation fee is charged for the postage service. All original ownership and shipping documents will be mailed to the USA / Canada Customs, and then will be mailed to you by courier express post. (FedEx, DHL, TNT)

How much time do I have to send my money over to you after the purchase?

You have 3 days to pay for the purchased car. To avoid any kind of late fees and penalties you have to send your money the same day you made a successful purchase.

What are the penalties if you do not receive my money on time?

You have 3 days to pay for the car, if we do not receive the payment from you on the 3d day after the purchase, we will charge you $50 or 0.125% per day as a late fee and you will be asked to send a copy of confirmation of your payment along with the contact information of a sending bank. If we do not receive a payment or a copy of confirmation from you in 5 days, we will relist or relieve the vehicle and you will be charged minimum of $600 or 10% from the price of the car as a relist fee.

Do you offer financing?

We offer financing to the following ports: Kotka Finland, Bremerhaven Germany, Klaipeda Lithuania and Tema Ghana. You must be approved for financing before bidding. Please contact us for further information on financing.

How would I know if you received my payment?

You will receive an automated email message. You can also check the status of your payment in “Finances” section of your profile.

With which countries we can not to do business with?

Unfortunately, due to Canada Trade Restrictions there are a few countries that we are not able to do business with. We will not approve an account if the contact address is in any of these countries. For more information, please visit the Office of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada

Can I pay for the car after delivery?

We require the full payment before delivery because we need to buy the car for the client from the seller and we need to pay for transportation services as well. That is why transportation of the vehicle will be possible once the full payment is done. (But we can offer Financing option to some destination.)

If the car doesn’t have Buy Now Price, how can I get the price to be ready for the purchase?

In this case we advise to check results of previous auctions in Similar Vehicle Price Statistics Results, which are available on each car’s profile, to get an idea about approximate potential price of the car.

Do you accept payments in cryptocurrency?

No, we don't accept cryptocurrencies. Auction Export receive payments in USD (American dollars only). The payment can be done through credit card and by bank wire transfer.

Bidding/Buying process

How and where do you place my bid / offer?

After you submit your bid / offer through the website, we will submit your bid on the auction, or we will submit your offer to the selling Insurance Company, Bank or selling dealer.

If I am the highest bidder at the indicated bidding end time, does that mean that I won the car?

No, this means that you are the highest bidder on our website, and we will submit your bid. If the car is for sale by the auction, we will place your bid on this particular auction; however, there can be floor bidders and USA dealers that will bid on the same vehicle, and if any of them will put a higher bid than yours you will not win the car. However due to the expensive repair services in USA and Canada, foreign buyers tend to put higher bids than domestic USA / Canada car dealers. If the car is for sale by the Insurance Company, Bank, Salvage yard or a car dealer, we will submit your highest bid to the seller, and only if the seller approves your bid, you will win the car. This is why we advise you to place reasonable bids, not to waste our time and yours.

What is a “Buy Now”?

“Buy Now” cars are offered for sale with a fixed price and can be purchased right away.

Can I offer lower price than “Buy Now” price?

The "Buy Now" price is typically non-negotiable. However, sometimes you can get a 3% - 5% decrease in the price. Please contact us in regards to this and our team of experts will do everything possible to negotiate the best price for you.

Are there any auction fees for “Buy Now” vehicles?

Yes. You would have to pay the auction fee for the “Buy Now” vehicle; however those fees tend to be much lower than for the live sale vehicles.

How would I know what is going to be an auction fee?

Auction fees vary by the auction and the selling price. Auction fees typically range from $200-$600 USD. For more information on auction fees, please refer to our “Auction fees” page.

Can I negotiate auction fee?

No, you can not negotiate the auction fees in any case.

How can I cancel my bid or the “Buy Now”?

Please note that you can NOT cancel your bid once it was received, however In some cases if you submit your bid and auction does not start yet, you can still call our sales department and see if you can cancel the bid, if auction does not start yet, then your bid will be canceled. You can not cancel your “Buy Now” in any case.

What is the average price?

The average price for the vehicle is “an average price” of past auction sales of similar vehicles. This price gives you the idea on how much the car can sell for.

Will I lose my deposit if I don’t win the car?

No. If you don’t win the car, deposit will stay on your account and you can use it for your next purchases.

What is the vehicle inspection?

If you are buying a vehicle and you're worried about its condition, you can order an Independent Vehicle Inspection through ‪AuctionExport‬. Once your request has been approved by our Sales department, we will arrange an independent physical examination by a licensed inspector for the car you are considering to buy. After it is done, you will be given a full-size condition report complemented with interior and exterior pictures. Order A Car process

How does ordering a car work?

If you are looking for any particular car, and you know your desired make, model, years, colors, and options for the car, you can fill out and a form called “ORDER A CAR”. Soon after you submitted your “ORDER A CAR” form, our sales team will start to search for your car through millions of auto dealer listings and auctions of USA and CANADA. After they have found the car that suits all your needs, you will receive an email, which will include pictures, specifications, history report and price of the car (upon your request we can include shipping fees in the price of the car).

If I want to purchase a vehicle that was offered to me, what should I do?

If you liked the car that was offered to you, you simply contact us and confirm that you are interested in buying this vehicle. We will require a $600 deposit in order to reserve this vehicle for you. Please note that if you do not have required amount on your account, you can always add money using Skrill. We do not advise to use bank wire transfers for deposits, because by the time your deposit arrives, there is a possibility that the car can be sold to someone else.

Are there any fees on “ORDER A CAR” Vehicles?

Yes. There is the same $295 (if the car price is over $3000) or $195 (if the car price is less than $3000) Auction Export Fee and $85 documentation fee.

Is “ORDER A CAR” price negotiable?

Yes, it is negotiable. Our sales team will do their best to receive maximum possible discount for you.


How can I find out the shipping price for the car?

You can use our shipping calculator to get the idea how much the shipping is going to cost. However, the shipping calculator will only give you a rough estimate, because shipping price depends on the size and weight of the vehicle. Is the shipping calculator accurate?

No. The shipping calculator only provides an estimate. Please contact us at [email protected] to get the exact quote.

Can I use my own transportation company?

We suggest to check with our shipping rates first, because many cars have to be consolidated in A container in order to get cheaper rates, and our shipping company can provide consolidation services to many destination points in the world. However, you are free to use your own transportation company, but you will need to send us a copy of the Bill of Lading after the vehicle shipped from USA / Canada.

How do I know how far my car is from the exit port?

We have provided a detailed map of the USA on our shipping page Shipping. This should give you the idea on how much the transportation would be to any major exit port. Please note that exit ports are located in NY (New York), CA (California), TX (Texas), FL (Florida), MD (Maryland).

Is my vehicle safe while being transported between the states?

Your car is fully insured while being transported between the states; however, if you would like your car to be insured while being transported from port to port, additional insurance is available for ocean transportation at 1.5% of the total invoiced price. A 500$ deductible fee is applicable to all claims.

How can I check the status of my shipment?

We will be notifying you on your status through emails.

How will my cars be shipped?

Your cars will be shipped by “RORO” or “Container” shipping.

What is “RO RO” shipping?

“RORO” means that your car will be driven inside the ship. This method of shipment is available to various destinations and does not involve consolidation. Please refer to this link to find out more information on “RO RO”

What is “Container” shipping?

“Container” shipping is the most popular way to ship a car. Basically, your car will be loaded inside 20 feet or 40 feet container, and the container will be sealed.

How many cars can be shipped in a 40 feet container?

Usually 40 feet container fits 3 mid size cars or SUVs, or 4 small cars, such as Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla.

What is consolidation?

Consolidation is when you only have one car to ship but you do not want to pay for the whole 40 feet container. Our shipping company will consolidate your car to several of popular destinations. For example, if your car is consolidated with 2 other cars in a 40 feet container, you are ending up paying only 1/3 from the price of 40 feet container. If there is no consolidation to your port, we can ship a car in 20” dedicated container.

Which port is better for consolidation?

The most popular port is New Jersey. However, always check with our shipping department about consolidation to the given country at the time of purchase.

How long does it take to get my car?

Transit time is 45-60 days from time of purchase. But please note delays could occur due to weather conditions, slow traffic, snow bird season, among other situations that could cause delay.

How may I know if Auction Export provides shipping to my country?

How often is the inventory on the site being updated?

Can I buy new cars from you?

Yes. We can offer you a variety of new cars as well as factory orders. Please contact us for more information.

What is a salvage vehicle?

Salvage vehicle is the vehicle with previous damage that was previously involved in collision, flood and water damage, theft, vandalism, fire, natural disaster etc. Ownership type is : Salvage Title, Salvage Certificate, Certificate of Destruction etc.

What is a clean car?

Clean title car is the car that was not involved in any major accidents and has a clean title history. Ownership type is Clean Title.

Where do you get the vehicles you sell on

Our inventory comes from major Salvage and Clean Car Auctions, Insurance Companies, Banks and Auto dealers.

Can I get more information and pictures of a certain vehicle?

Please contact us. We will do our best to try and provide you with pictures and additional information.

I found a vehicle by myself through the Internet, will you help me negotiate and close this deal?

Yes. If the car is for sale by AN authorized Auto dealer or company, we will be happy to assist you and we will do our best to negotiate the price.

Why is it better for me to let Auction Export to close the deal instead of just me buying the car directly from the selling dealer?

One of the reasons is that you are the international buyer, and when purchasing from a dealer there is no guarantee that he will be honest with you. Also he will have to sell you the car as retail, and in some cases dealers can charge you sales tax. If we will close the deal for you, we will buy that car as a wholesale unit, we do not pay any retail or sales taxes, and we can better negotiate the deal.

I purchased a vehicle from another company in the USA, but I would like Auction Export to ship this car for me, is it possible?

Yes it is possible.

Can I pay in different currency aside from US Dollars?

We only accept US Dollars.

We're a salvage yard, insurance company, bank, and we want Auction Export to advertise our cars on the international market.

Please contact us in this regard, we always search for a new trusted inventory sources.

Can I be official Auction Export dealer in my country?

It's possible for you to become a partner of Auction Export, by becoming the official re-seller dealer with us.
